About Jimmy's

Locally Owned and OperatedJimmy's Broad Street Diner has been locally owned and operated for more than 10 years.  We were formerly known as Jimmy's Restaurant and had become a landmark in Braintree at the former Quintree Mall during our decade of service to the Quincy, Braintree, and Weymouth communities. We moved to our current location in Weymouth in January of 2002.

We serve great breakfastsWe serve great breakfasts, huge omelettes, eggs (any way you like them), fluffy pancakes, thick french toast -- everything is cooked to order -- hot and fresh.  And to go with it...excellent coffee.

While we think our breakfast is one of the best served on the south shore, its our lunch and dinners that bring the most compliments from our customers.  Our delicious oven roasted turkey is so popular we cook it fresh every day!  Yankee Pot Roast, soft and tender, homemade lasagnas -- and if it's a burger you crave, we make ours with a 1/2 lb. of fresh ground hamburger.

Don't just take our word for it. Read what the local media has had to say --

Braintree landmark moving to Weymouth
By Jeanne M. Rideout

A longtime Braintree landmark is moving to Weymouth. Jimmy's Restaurant, located in the Quintree Plaza for more than a decade, has received the green light from the Zoning Board of Appeals for the diner-style establishment to open up at the corner of Broad and Phillips Street in Weymouth at the site of the old Dimarino Bakery.

Nearly 80 residents from nearby Union Towers and Colonial Village Apartments crowded the hearing room last week in support of the restaurant. --- September 5, 2001

Friendly Staff

I chose the counter.  In front of me was a freezer full of desserts and a giant window with no glass that gave a view of the kitchen.  As you wait, you can watch the cooks at work.  When your order is ready, the meals are placed on the window sill and picked up by your waitress.

After looking at the menu, I chose the chicken fingers, and my dad chose the hot roast beef dinner.  Both meals were served hot and in good proportion.  For dessert, I had red jello.  It was served in a little bowl with whipped cream.  The diner serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.  There is also a variety of meals to choose from.  The prices are low, but the food is excellent.  This is one of my new favorite restaurants.  ---      November 26, 2002

Hingham Harborlight
Jimmy's Diner
By Michaela Coyne (Hingham student)

Recently on a trip to my aunt's house, I passed a new restaurant on 122 Broad Street.  Jimmy's Diner took the space from an old bakery about 9 months ago.

When I walked in, I noticed that the design seemed to be a modern version of an old fashioned diner.  The colors are bright, and the environment welcoming.  On our way to our seats, we had a choice to sit at the counter or a booth.
